PLI Update_24032026 ImportantPlease note! Due to an issue with McCamish, it has been observed that many transactions were committed in McCamish, but no response was received at the APT end, resulting in them not being updated in the APT database, wallet, or reports. Therefore, all such transactions are being taken up for centralized cancellation and will be processed by EOD.
All concerned are advised not to account for transactions that are not reflected in APT. They should check the McCamish reports tomorrow, and any missed transactions may be performed tomorrow and accounted for accordingly.
Any duplicate transactions in APT should be cancelled at the APT level and reconciled with the McCamish reports.

New IMS Software (by CEPT) – Expected Launch: September 2026Major Features:
✅ Customers can fill proposal forms online through App / Website / Self-Service Portal
✅ Forms can also be submitted in assisted mode with the help of Postal Staff or Direct Agents
✅ Manual form filling and manual data entry at CPCs will be eliminated
✅ Maturity payments will be credited directly to customers’ linked bank accounts
✅ Non-medical policies can be purchased online through e-KYC verification (with CPC approval)
📉 Expected Impact:
• Reduced workload at CPCs
• Less data entry, checks, and approvals
• Possible rationalization / merger of CPCs to reduce operational costs
📱 Customers will also be able to upload documents and submit requests online through the Self-Service Portal or App, with assistance available from Postal Staff up to BO level or Direct Agents, thereby avoiding the need to visit CPCs.

SG FNPO submitted detailed letter to Secretary Posts posts about suggestions to increase Revenue. Please read all pages carefully. Key points in the letter is as follows.FNPO letter to the Secretary Posts on enhancing revenue of the Department of Posts), here are the main key points / highlights:
1. Strengthening Postal Insurance Modernize Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural PLI products. Design market-aligned insurance schemes to compete with private insurers. Expand insurance penetration using the vast India Post network. Improve marketing and digital support to increase premium inflow. Make postal insurance a major profit centre.
2. Reform in POSB (Post Office Savings Bank) Stop focusing only on number of accounts opened. Encourage higher deposits and long-term customers instead of multiple accounts for the same customer. Introduce modern banking features to make POSB competitive. Align products with customer needs and banking standards.
3. Utilize the Strength of India Post Network Leverage unmatched reach and trust of post offices. Use the large workforce and infrastructure for expanded financial services. Improve customer service and product delivery.
4. Strategic Reforms for Revenue Growth Introduce innovative products and services. Improve marketing, technology adoption, and operational efficiency. Convert the Department into a sustainable profit centre while maintaining its social service role.
5. Long-Term Financial Sustainability Moderate increase in insurance and financial service penetration can create stable long-term revenue. Focus on profitability along with public service mandate.
